Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin The Karl Burgsmüller firm of Berlin was an official supplier of edged weapons to the Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten (NPEA) and was involved in the centralized supply of regulation edged weapons to NPEA schools. NPEA Student Daggers are found with the blade marking “Karl Burgsmüller Berlin-Charlottenburg 5.” Individual components may have been manufactured by other firms in Solingen, while Burgsmüller acted as the official supplier.
